Spark is the idea catcher. A pocket-sized journal for sudden inspiration, compact notes, and quiet reflection. It's made for the half-formed idea jotted in a café, the dream scribbled before it fades, the quick to-do list, and the brain dump.

• Closed: 95 x 145 mm (3.75 x 5.75 in)
• Open: 291 x 145 mm (11.5 x 5.75 in)
• Leather: vegetable-tanned cowhide, 5/6 oz (about 2 to 2.4 mm thick)
• Color: Inkwell (Black), hand dyed
• Elastic: 1.5 mm cord. Elastic color is matched as closely as possible to the dye but may vary slightly.
• Includes: 3 ruled kraft journal inserts
• Arrives in a canvas drawstring bag

How it's made

• Sourcing: We use hides tanned with plant extracts instead of chromium salts. Tanning is one of the most impactful steps in leathermaking, and this choice reduces its environmental footprint.
• Cutting: Each cover is carefully cut, punched, and beveled, with the edges sanded smooth. Offcuts and scraps are saved and reborn in small projects instead of wasted.
• Finishing: Every cover is dyed by hand in our studio, left to dry, then burnished along the edges and sealed with an acrylic finish so it holds up to daily wear and tear.
• Assembly: Grommets and elastic are set by hand to complete the journal.

Built to last
Our leather goods are made for the long haul. Non-leather parts like the elastic are easy to replace, and leather repair or refurbishment can often fix more serious wear. The more a piece is carried and cared for, the lower its footprint per use becomes.

Refillable by design
The inserts slide in and out under the elastic, so your cover keeps going long after the pages fill up. Electric Lily refills are coming soon. Until then, look for inserts measuring 4 to 4.25 in wide and 5.5 in tall (about 100 x 140 mm).

Care

• Wipe gently with a soft cloth. Avoid soaps and harsh cleaners.
• Let it breathe. Store it in a cool, dry place, not sealed away.
• Keep it out of standing water and long periods of direct sunlight.
• If the leather ever starts to feel dry, a light natural leather balm will refresh it. Test on a small hidden spot first.

Leather deepens and softens with time. Scratches, tone shifts, and wear are part of the journey. Your story writes itself onto the surface.
